It's Just a Dream (Part 2)

In the depths of the night, lost in her work,

The girl sat at her desk, laptop glowing in the dark.

But a strange occurrence took hold of her screen,

As her laptop melted away, an eerie scene.

Confused and afraid, she ran out in a daze,

Into the foggy darkness, her mind in a haze.

As she wandered down the lonely, foggy road,

Familiar with the place unfolding in her mind.

A vivid memory she was not sure of,

And then she saw a face from the past, so dear and true.

But deep down she knew, it was just an illusion, A hallucination, a bittersweet conclusion.

Yet the desire for one more conversation burned,

To find solace and peace, closure needed.

He spoke, "You shouldn't be alone out here this night,

Let me guide you home, make everything right."

Side by side they walked, in the heartfelt discussion,

She longed for him to age, to grow old in accord.

To apologize for the past, and give life a second chance,

But as they reached a far vision of her own abode,

He paused, and with a smile, his words bestowed.

"This is where I stay, the path I chose,

Choose wiser, embrace the opportunities life bestows,

For you might be luckier than others were not."

With the sight of her home's warm, welcoming light,

She turned for a final glance, and he vanished from sight.

A wave of realization washed over her being,

She awoke from her slumber, her heart still dreaming.

It was all just a dream, a figment of her mind,

A fleeting encounter, left in the depths of time.

And as she rose from her dream's embrace,

She carried with her the essence of that sacred space.

Grateful for the visit, and the tender moments shared.

For even in the depths of a dream's illusion,

There are whispers of truth and profound fusion.
